Stephanie Waskins is the owner and founder for Stephanie Waskins Studio, an interior design firm known for its effortlessly layered and timeless natural aesthetic. With over 20 years of experience in the design industry, Stephanie brings a refined and intuitive approach to each project—balancing classic elements, clean lines, and natural materials with unexpected touches that give spaces soul and individuality. Her interiors are deeply personal, often blending the character of a space with the unique stories of the people who live there.
With a foundation in fine art and textile design, Stephanie’s creative journey has always been rooted in visual storytelling. After earning her degree in Arts Management, she deepened her design expertise at the California School of Professional Textile Design in Berkeley. There, she developed a nuanced understanding of color, pattern, and texture—principles that continue to shape her work and define her richly composed interiors.
Her professional journey has taken her from the gallery world, curating collections for long-term clients, to interior design where she co-founded LARK+PALM design, whose work was featured in both local and national publications. Stephanie played a hands-on role in shaping the studio’s creative direction, overseeing visual storytelling, and developing the brand’s distinctive design voice.
Stephanie Waskins Studio is equally informed by Stephanie’s East Coast upbringing and West Coast lifestyle. Growing up surrounded by antiques and the design world through her parents, she learned the value of history, patina, and thoughtful curation. Today, she translates those early influences into fresh, approachable interiors that feel both elevated and lived-in. She is especially drawn to projects that mix eras and styles, always aiming to create environments that feel collected rather than designed. She finds inspiration everywhere—from travels abroad to her daily life in West Marin—and channels that energy into interiors that are rich in detail and grounded in authenticity.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
